David K.A. Mordecai joined the HHLT board in Fall 2007. David is a financial risk expert and has a doctorate in financial economics from the Chicago Graduate School of Business and a MBA from the Stern School of Business at NYU. He lives in Putnam Valley with his wife, Samantha. "I joined HHLT because the preservation of open space is essential to our future quality of life, in fact to our very humanity to its core. Further, living in Putnam Valley, I am particularly aware of the pressure on open space as land in neighboring Westchester County becomes more developed and more expensive. I see the Land Trust as the key to preserving Putnam Valley's open space and protecting its natural resources"
