Through your Corporate Matching Program . . .
Many employers have charitable matching foundations, which will, in many cases, double your personal contribution to HHLT. Please contact your employer’s human resources department to obtain a copy of their matching gift form, fill out the employee portion and forward it to us – we’ll do the rest!
Through a Planned Gift . . .
A bequest to HHLT translates your commitment to protect the Hudson Highlands into a lasting legacy. If you are considering a gift to the Land Trust as part of your estate plan, you can add a simple provision to your will such as: “I give (specific amount, percentage or residue) to Hudson Highlands Land Trust, Inc. (tax ID# 13-3528266), having its principal offices at 20 Nazareth Way, Garrison, NY 10524, for its general purposes.” Or, HHLT can work with you to craft a more customized bequest. Please consult with your attorney on the language and tax effect of any charitable bequest.
For more information on making a planned gift, or to notify us that you have done so, please contact us at 845-424-3358 or email@example.com.
Through a major gift pledge to the Highlands Steward Fund . . .
Launched in 2008, the Highlands Steward Fund is a four million dollar campaign that will allow the Land Trust to continue and expand its work protecting the Highlands, provide financial flexibility and strength for our critical land preservation work, and build momentum for our vital public policy and community outreach work. For more information, please contact us, or download a HSF case statement and pledge declaration form online.
Please remember that you should always check with your estate planner or tax advisor to find out what type of gift is best for your situation. Hudson Highlands Land Trust is a 501(c)(3) chartiable organization; your donation is fully tax deductible as specified by IRS laws.
