HHLT Environmental Discovery Grant

In an effort to enhance HHLT's involvement with local schools, the Land Trust awarded the Environmental Discovery Grant to the Garrison Union Free School and the Haldane School District in 2009. The grant, made possible through donor-directed funding, was a three-year commitment to nature study and sustainability education.

Today, HHLT's environmental education programing is centered around the Hudson Highlands Regional River of Words Program (ROW) offered to Haldane, Garrison, Putnam Valley, Highland Falls/Ft. Montgomery, and Cornwall School Districts. The program reaches more than 2,600 students with free programming. For more information on ROW, please visit: www.hhltrow.org.
