Putnam Valley Scenic Resource Mapping

We are working with Hudson River Valley Greenway, Cornell University’s Department of Natural Resources and the Putnam Valley Commission for the Conservation of the Environment to complete the Putnam Valley Scenic Resources Mapping Project. To identify significant scenic resources in Putnam Valley for this project, we worked with the community through an online mapping tool and community mapping workshops developed with the assistance of Cornell and facilitated by HHLT. The identification of these high-value scenic resources is a part of, and will complement, the Putnam Valley Natural Resources Inventory (NRI) with the resulting scenic resources maps and supportive narrative reports being incorporated into the NRI.

The Putnam Valley Scenic Resources Mapping project is funded through a partnership with the Hudson River Valley National Heritage Area and the Hudson River Valley Greenway.
